Mike Connelly is a director and principal consultant for the Dutch network consultancy Rimlan BV. After graduating in electronics, he worked for six years as an electronics and IC design engineer. In 1992 he had the opportunity to move into networks and has never looked back! Based in the Netherlands, he has designed and implemented networks for many of their largest enterprises including KLM, KPN Telecom, and UPC.
He first picked up a Cisco PIX firewall in 1998 and struggled through the configuration armed only with the Cisco command reference. For CertificationZone, he decided to write the quick reference he wished he'd had in 1998.
He is currently a CCNP and is working toward the CCIE Security specialization.
