Jason Wydra is a tier 3 technical support engineer at SBC Datacomm in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Born and raised in Chicago, Jason began his telecommunications career in 1993 when he joined the U.S. Air Force where he was trained to troubleshoot and maintain critical Department of Defense networks. In 1997 he left the Air Force and began working for Ameritech where he provided technical support for a large-scale Frame Relay network with over 900 customers. Since late 2002, he has supported VoIP in a Cisco, Nortel, and Avaya environment, generally dealing with AVVID contracts.

Jason has sucessfully completed both the CCIE R&S; written exam and the CCIE Voice written exam. Having attempted the R&S; practical lab twice, he intends to tackle the Voice practical lab later this year. Jason has been a CCNP since 2000 and also possesses the Cisco IP telephony specialist, design, and operations certifications.
