Voice over IP (Supplement)
This supplemental Study Guide is meant to be used along with the following Certification Zone Study Guides:
The purpose of this supplemental Study Guide is to fill in any gaps that were not covered by the three Study Guides. If you read and fully understand all topics in these four tutorials, including the study questions and the labs, you should have no problem passing the CVOICE exam.
The CVOICE exam is one of five exams necessary to obtain the new CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional) certification. This certification validates an engineer's ability to design, maintain, and troubleshoot an IP telephony network as it pertains to the Cisco Architecture for Voice, Video, and Integrated Data (AVVID). Certification Zone recommends that the CVOICE exam be taken before any of the other exams offered in the track. CVOICE builds the initial foundation for IP telephony by covering basics of traditional TDM-based telephone networks and their eventual mutation into packet-based IP networks. CVOICE provides extensive coverage of Cisco voice gateways and how to configure a gateway for end-to-end VoX calls.
