EPA's Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP,
SW-846 Method 1311) is the test procedure for determining if
a solid waste is hazardous because it exhibits toxicity
characteristics as enforced under the Resource Conservation
and Recovery Act (RCRA). A clear understanding of this
method is required for lab technicians performing analyses
as well as for environmental engineers who must collect
samples in the field and make use of the resulting data.
Genium's TCLP Wall Poster explains the complex steps
required by this method and serves as a quick reminder for
the seasoned professional, or as a tutorial for
newcomers.
This giant 38" x 25" full color poster provides you with an
informative introduction to the procedure by explaining the
TCLP process, what it's used for, and where it isn't
applicable. Three flow charts clearly show each step
necessary in the Preliminary Evaluation, and Nonvolatile and
Volatile Extractions processes. Color-coded notes explain in
detail each step of the process, and what happens next. A
complete listing of the toxic substances covered under TCLP
is also included. You'll also find loads of other useful
information including applicable minimum weights, hold
times, filtration requirements, extraction procedures,
formulas, and more.
