Jim has been an information systems technology consultant since 1985. He holds a Masters degree from Andrews University, as well as 48 credit hours of post-graduate work toward his PhD.
He currently holds the Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet, (MCP+I), and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certifications in Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000/2003.
He was one of the pioneer achievers earning his FCPA(R) Field Certifications in Windows 2000 Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA/FCSA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE/FCSE) and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT/FCT).
He is an Accredited HP-COMPAQ Technician (ACT) and a HP-COMPAQ Accredited Platform Integrator (API) and Accredited Systems Engineer (ASE) on the Windows 2000 platform, and a Field Certified Hardware Engineer (FCHE).
He lives in upstate New York with his wife and has two grown children, and a miniature dachshund named Chloe.
