New reference helps those performing and interpreting inorganic data tests
AMSTERDAM, NY - August 3, 2023 - Genium Publishing, a leading provider of comprehensive environmental publications, has announced the release of a new reference aimed at answering the key questions and explaining the methods of inorganic data testing. Interpretation of Inorganic Data by Dr. Roy-Keith Smith provides laboratories with the means to accurately test and analyze data while maintaining a high degree of data quality and integrity.
Interpretation of Inorganic Data aims to give the reader a full understanding of the scientific approaches to inorganic data testing and analysis based on the EPA's Performance Based Measurement System (PBMS). Dr. Roy-Keith Smith concisely explains what constitutes good and acceptable scientific practice and analysis, since there is no single scientific approach or technique that solves all-or even most-of the analytical problems for inorganic analytes. In this book how and why specific procedures have been developed, to take advantage of individual chemical characteristics, are illuminated. Numerous charts, graphs, and illustrations further articulate the necessary and crucial techniques to conduct, understand, and examine inorganic data tests. Interpretation of Inorganic Data also covers the key quality control and quality assurance procedures that should be followed in order to ensure data and analytical integrity, in particular, how QA/QC techniques can subtly affect selecting the right testing method.
"This book contains analytical methodologies, quality assurance and quality control procedures that are indispensable to anyone who has to contend with testing, analyzing, or interpreting environmental data" stated Genium President, Michael Cinquanti. "We designed this book as a companion to our popular book Interpretation of Organic Data, allowing us to provide our customers with a wide knowledge base of both inorganic and organic data testing approaches."
The author is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and holds a Ph.D. from Colorado State University. Formerly a research faculty member in chemistry at California Institute of Technology, Dr. Smith has also been a faculty member of Southern College of Technology. He is currently Analytical Methods Manager at Analytical Services, Inc. in Norcross, Georgia, and is licensed as both a Water and Wastewater Laboratory Analyst in the state of Georgia. He has developed and presented industrial education courses on environmental analysis and other topics for Hewlett Packard and Fisher Scientific. Author of numerous books and papers, Dr. Smith has written this new title's companion Interpretation of Organic Data, as well as, the Handbook of Environmental Analysis, Lectures on Wastewater Analysis and Interpretation for Genium Publishing.
