CCNA Certification Kit
This kit is tailored to the student pursuing his or her CCNA certification. It includes everything you would need to pass the CCNA exam, and then some.
The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) indicates a foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking for the small office/home office (SOHO) market. CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, IPX, Serial, AppleTalk, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists.
This kit features two Cisco 2501 routers, each with one AUI Ethernet port, two high-speed synchronous serial ports, one console port and one auxiliary port. The included IOS image collection will give the student exposure to many different command environments.
Also included is one Cisco WS-C1912 Catalyst switch upgraded with Enterprise software, with twelve 10baseT Ethernet ports, plus two 100baseT ports for trunking. This switch features both a menu-based user interface and a command line interface based on the Cisco IOS. Cisco will integrate this interface into all of it's switches over time. These switches support multiple VLANs and much more.
